is it just me or has gmail been kinda slow as of late...? i saw some postings of other ppl saying so as well, but they complained about attachments. but for me just a regular 4 sentence email gives me like 30-40 seconds of "sending..." maybe i'm over-exaggerating but it is really long. trust me. it's not cause i'm high right now. so.. uhm, anyone?

i hafta get myself back in the mode where i remember to post about things that happen to me.

not that this is something that happened solely to me cause there were like a million people there last night at the summer fest thing at dundas square where broken social scene performed for free after that weird fucked up circus giraffes and clowns and bitch diva opera that preceded it. man was that fucked. broken social were jawsome!

there was some site plastered everywhere, something about www.torontoblabla.ca, i don't remember what the blabla was, i'll just hafta keep my eye out for it. if u remember please tell me!

OMG i've been bothered by this a lot lately. fucking programs stealing focus.

say you're happily chatting away on msn, and you remember that u hafta visit some page so u click ie and continue typing, and midsentence you get cut off by ie loading. everything wants to be on top, and only in this case is this a bad thing (har har). usually this is just annoying but sometimes a dialogue pops up with yes selected by default and u press the spacebar, or u type a word with a "y" and BAM, you've installed some spyware, or let something thru your firewall or something has happened that you're unaware of. fuckers!

here is the quick and easy fix, u need tweakui - which is available for download from the microsoft website, click here. (this program is also really good for other things, i've had it since windows 95, which i hung on to for far too long, fucking stupid OS, lol.)

under "general" click the checkbox for Prevent applications from stealing focus. and that's it!

the following pics are of the windows paintings i did for indigo for their upcoming harry potter 6 launch. this one i did with jess, we hadta do it in reverse on the inside, and it was hard cause the only colour pic we had was the wrong way. it still turned out pretty good i think.
